Stag horn is imported directly from India, however this deer ranges from India and Nepal to southern Asia.
The stag from India is the best, because it is much more dense then from anywhere else in the world.
You can see that there is much thicker "Ivory" outer layer than on horns from any other part, continent of the world.
Generally the stag sticks under 1-3/4" are from Axis deer.
The male of this large red deer bears long three tined antlers, which it sheds annually.
These are harvested for knife handles and pistol grips.
As a genera rule, all larger pieces of stag and all cut scales, slabs and carvers come from Sambar Elk of India.
Note: Crown stick is the part of the antler nearest to the animal's head. It has what the Europeans call a "ROSE" on its base.
Carver handles are curved, tapered pieces cut from the brow tine, naturally beautiful.
