2″ x 72″ Belts
Size matters. This is the most common belt size in the knife making industry & rightfully so due to the surface area.
This belt size is best for profiling, bevel grinding, detail work and sharpening.
Popular machines that this belt size is used on: The Wilton Square Wheel Grinder, The Burr King 972 knifemaker grinder, The hardcore belt grinder, the Bader BIII, The Bob Dozier Grinder, the Coote grinder, TW90, Riverside machine, Pheer327 & the KMG-1 Grinder

There is really not much usefull information about actual comparison of usage between brands of any belt type.
Manufacturer claims that their belt outlasts that belt etc. is a good sales pitch.
If the belt outlasts the cheaper belt 3 to 1, does the 3x higher price justifies the switch?. It is not that simple.
Best belts no matter what the grit is made off, gets dull after first use on hardened blade metal.
No longer usable on handles - burning the material. It is just not practicle to separate blade from handles just for saving the belt.
So - if you do prefer any belt over any other for any work - your feedback would be much appreciated.

Purple ball bullet   Aluminum Oxide belts

Aluminum oxide particles are tough and lasting. Great choice for both wood and metal.
White, Dark brown, Red/brown color grit side, usually light or dark brown backing. Aluminum oxide belts TAJR imported from Japan have light blue color backing
