Recent history of Snow Globes:
In 2003, after 56 years being out of production, with help from staff at the Museum of Glass and Costume Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou, Brusírny Janov n. Nisou s.r.o. launched the Snow Globe again. That this was possible is due to the efforts of the company's management and continued attempts to reveal the secrets of the Snow Globe's illusionary world by examining the few well-preserved globes in existence.
The company, through trial and error, has managed in fact to implement many improvements to the original model, thanks to which the company has been able to register the Globe at the Office of Industrial Property and is protected as CZ13673 UI. Today's Snow Globe consists of a hand-blown glass ball, a wooden plinth turned from quality wood treated with high quality decorative wax from natural sources and handmade glass figures of people and animals, etc. Great emphasis is played upon retaining the original character and appearance of the original. Being hand made ensures that each Globe is genuinely original.
Our Snow Globe is on the market as a truly exceptional product, and as such combines traditional manufacturing techniques with modern materials to meet increasingly tough health and environmental requirements.
The Snow Globe satisfies the aesthetic requirements of the most fastidious customer. The various themes depicted inside make the Snow Globe an ideal gift or souvenir for sporting, social and outdoor events, as well as its potential in advertising and promotions. The Snow Globe can be made to various designs and shapes at the request of the customer. Special designs, requirements for different themes and changes in shape and/or materials used are provided FREE OF CHARGE.
